Description

Rawa is a Palestinian initiative working to strengthen an emancipatory, resilient Palestinian social ecosystem capable of resisting the Israeli colonial regime. Rawa creates generative spaces for Palestinian grassroots initiatives to envision and bring forth a liberated, self-determined, and just Palestinian society, including through participatory grantmaking across the West Bank, Gaza, Jerusalem, and within 1948 borders. Within progressive philanthropy and in cross-movement spaces, Rawa advocates for addressing harm caused by funding and realizing accountability, and promotes trust- and solidarity based approaches that return power to communities and support an infrastructure for independency in Palestinian community work. Rawa’s principal activities at Possibility Labs is to grant out funding to support activities related to these goals.
