The 22nd Century Initiative (22CI) is a national strategy and action hub focused on preventing authoritarianism and advancing democratic infrastructure in the United States through educational efforts. Through a “block, build, and bridge” framework, 22CI works to resist authoritarian threats, foster broad coalitions, and lay the groundwork for democratic expansion.

Mission
22CI’s mission is to create an effective, multi-racial, cross-class, and culturally diverse mass mobilization against authoritarianism. How we do this is equally important, which is why we invest in the capacities and infrastructure necessary to win an inclusive and people-centered democracy in this century and the next.
